A paying-in slip you can check before sending money
Work backwards from the balance you want, compare dated fee scenarios and replace the conversion assumptions with your own quote.
How to use the calculator for a UK top-up
- Enter the net balance you want in USD or CNY. For CNY, replace the historical CNY/USD divisor with the relevant current quote.
- Enter USD per GBP if you want a pound estimate, or leave it blank to see dollars only. This is an editable conversion assumption, not a fetched exchange rate.
- Choose whether the PayPal example fee is added or deducted. The bank example assumes its stated fee is deducted.
- Record the date after checking your assumptions. More than seven days old triggers a reminder; a future or missing date is rejected.
Check the real debit and credited balance before confirming any payment. The result leaves out provider conversion margins, issuer fees, other transfer charges and any changed account terms.
Why two PayPal examples remain
The original 15 October research recorded 4.5% plus $0.30 on Top up and 3.7% plus $0.30 in FAQ entries. Both are retained to show how conflicting assumptions affect a budget. They are not assertions of today’s fee.
With a net $100 target, deducting 4.5% plus $0.30 requires about $105.03; adding the same example fee gives $104.80. The selected mode changes the result, so the calculator compares calculated totals rather than applying one universal break-even claim.

Wise and card-checkout charges cannot be calculated from these historical examples. Compare the current payment-provider total and account credit directly. The tool does not send a transfer, fetch rates, save financial information or determine which provider is best.
A lower illustrative result is only lower under the displayed assumptions. It says nothing about current availability, processing time, claim coverage, taxes or final shipping cost. Keep those other order costs in view.
